Process of Membership
Anyone who is a member of the Hamilton Club may propose someone for membership and act as the candidate's sponsor. The Hamilton Club offers several categories of membership that vary in relation to the age and residential location of members. Diversity in membership is a high priority for the Hamilton Club. No one is denied membership on the basis of race, religion, physical handicap, national origin or sexual orientation.
To qualify for membership, the candidate(s) must have a period of at least six (6) months residency, or office occupancy, in the greater Lancaster community.
Candidates living and working thirty (30) miles or more from the clubhouse may be proposed as a Non-Resident Member.
The sponsor must write a letter of introduction, to the Membership Committee, requesting an application. If favorably approved, an application will be released.
A seconding letter, from a current member in good standing, is also required with the submission of the application.
Candidates must be posted for a minimum of two weeks for the general membership to review and meet with the Board of Directors prior to the official Board vote.
